The EyStar® Standard Biometric Access Control System combines face recognition and fingerprint recognition to provide the highest level of security. There is no need for cards, keys, passwords or keypads. The combination of the two biometrics makes it possible to have security with an error rate approximating DNA.
The EyStar® Biometric Access Control System operates as a standalone one door system or it can be networked to interconnect multiple doors at multiple sites - domestically or internationally.
The System utilizes technology that automatically identifies an individual based upon his or her unique physiological characteristics. The system works by converting information about the individual’s face and fingerprints into a unique code.
The EyStar® Biometric Access Control System integrates a battery backed-up central controller with a fingerprint reader and camera. (A Network Access Controller which accepts proximity or swipe cards or keypads and can drive 2 bolts or 2 door strike mechanisms or two magnetic locks can be included for an additional charge.) (Camera and fingerprint reader are additional.)
Users register or enroll into the system by recording their facial and fingerprint patterns into the central management system. These patterns are then scanned and recognized as the user approaches the system or door.
When access has been granted, the unit will produce a signal to open the door. At the same time an audit trail will record the action.
* If communication with the server is lost, the door controller will continue to identify authorized users, grant access and record the events. When communication with the server is restored, the server will be updated with information collected at the door.
