Standard Biometric Access Control System
The Standard Biometrics Access Control (BACS) System is designed for areas that need ultra security, such as labs, server rooms, drug rooms, weapon rooms, etc. The Standard BACS comes in two models: fingerprint recognition only and the combination face and fingerprint recognition for ultra security. The fingerprint recognition model is available with one fingerprint reader or two fingerprint readers.
The system can be a one-door standalone unit or it can be networked with multiple doors located in separate buildings or even in other cities and countries. The system is designed to operate if communication with the server fails.

General Overview: |
|
The Standard BACS can be installed as a dedicated network or it can be installed on the existing network. Each door controller or unit has a TCP/IP address. A report module is included in the software. The units come equipped to accommodate two pulse operated strikes, security bolts or two mag locks. The door controller, which contains all intelligence and equipment, related to lock operation is designed for installation on the protected side of the door in an obscure spot and the fingerprint reader and camera will be installed on the unprotected side of the door. The system operates on a standard 10baseT network; standard Ethernet protocols and utilizes Cat 5 cable.
The size of the database has no practical limits on to the number of doors that can be accommodated on the network.

Operation: |
|
All information required to operate the Standard BACS is on the server. Each door controller/unit contains all the information necessary to operate that particular door: it knows who is authorized to use that door and collects information such as who, when, where each time the reader is touched.
If communication with the server is interrupted, the door will grant access to those persons authorized access to that door, record the events and will update the server when communication with the server is reestablished. Each controller can accommodate up to two fingerprint readers. |

Readers: |
| |
The system features a USB optical reader, which comes in three versions:
1. |
The desktop model recommended for enrollment and administrative activities. |
2. |
The standard model recommended for typical installations. This reader has a red and green LED indicator and buzzer to signal positive identification. This reader is enclosed in a rigid metal case designed for industrial use. |
3. |
The Standard Plus adds a 2-line LCD display and keypad. The keypad is not part of the access control system, and is only included for the convenience of the customer when additional functionality is required, such as telephone service at the door. |

Locks: |
| |
All versions of Standard BACS (door controller) operate electric strikes, bolts and mag locks. |

 |
Compatibility: |
| |
The units and readers are not interchangeable with the Compact BACS system. |
Designed for Ultra Secure applications, the BAC will continue to identify authorized users, grant access and record the events if the cable to the server is cut, and when service is restored, the server will be updated.
