Differences in Standard and Compact BAC System

There are three major differences in the Standard BAC and the Compact BAC.

1.	The Standard BAC door controllers have sufficient intelligence to grant access and log events if the communication with the server is lost. The Compact BAC door controller when using the fingerprint reader will not operate if communication with the server is lost. But, if the Compact BAC door controller is using a card reader, access will continue to be granted and the events logged for a limited period of time.
2.	The optical fingerprint reader used by the Standard BAC operates somewhat like a doorbell and does not require any particular positioning to read the fingerprint.
3.	The capacitive fingerprint reader used by the Compact BAC requires some small amount of specific positioning.
4.	The Standard BAC comes in two versions: one with fingerprint recognition only and the other with face and fingerprint recognition.

The Compact BAC will not have facial recognition.
